Thames Water Thames Water Innovation and Smart Technology Centre (TWIST)

The site is the environment where new and existing technologies are tested in real situations. Within the site, all conditions for research are set up. It can be used in multiple projects due to existing synergies among them. TWIST is available – under T&C – for the installation of sensors and the implementation of technologies and software applications.

Services and Capacity

Comments: The facility is the actual water network within Reading. It comprises 870 km of distribution mains and 172 km of trunk mains . They vary from 4” (100 mm) up to 32” (800 mm). Currently available there are 1.500 smart AMI water meters. The flow is around 45 Ml/d.
