University of Sheffield, UKCRIC Distributed Water Asset Infrastructure Facility

Containment cell 1200 cubic metres that can be flexibly divided to control soil and groundwater conditions around buried infrastructure with closed pipe systems (up to 6 bar) and gravity pipe systems (up to 200 l/s). Complex, cyclic surface loading (10 KN/square metre) and freeze/thaw possible. Full water quality and ancillary testing.
