CC Hydrodynamics Ltd

CC Hydrodynamics Ltd (CCH) is a specialist numerical modelling house with a focus on flooding, inundation from asset failures, water resources and other spatially distributed fluid problems. CCH was established in 2018 and is still a young company.

Our core modelling capabilities focus on dam failure assessments, flood models for wadis and arid regions, pluvial flood modelling, coastal surge and tidal flood modelling, and other similar disciplines. We make heavy use of automation to offer excellent value for money on large data processing jobs, and have a large array of computational assets to call on (in particular GPUs) to undertake large simulation jobs. For example, we have recently undertaken more than 100 detailed dam break assessments making use of bespoke methodologies in a period of less than 9 months. Despite being a small company, we have a computational modelling architecture and capability larger than most other consultancy firms working in the civil engineering sector.

CCH currently works in the UK, Ireland and Mozambique. We have also worked in collaboration with our partners in Azerbaijan and Ethiopia. We are looking to export our expertise to anywhere in the world, but particularly into the mining sector (where tailings dams failures have been a key issue for a number of years now).
